Description

This is a fine copy of a 1986 comp of singles and unreleased tracks by garage-pop group the Squires.  From Bristol, CT, the group released one of the classic 45s in the genre, the title track of this comp, which came out in 1966 and was subsequently included on the first volume of the Pebbles series.  Both sides of that single and their 1965 debut 45, when they were calling themselves the Rogues, are here, along with several demos recorded at the same time as their second single and an unreleased version of "Gloria" from later that year.  Excepting that last song, every track on the LP is an original composition by group lead singer and drummer Mike Bouyea (he shares writing credits on one song).   The jacket is close to pristine with light seam wear (M-).  The disc is clean, and plays with minimal surface noise (not counting noise from source discs) (M-).  The record comes with a four-page insert (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
