One of the hardest parts of record collecting is finding the right price either charge or to pay for a record. There are several online and print catalogs that between them show current selling prices for about 90% of the records I sell. To save you time, I am now listing a current sale price for each record that I can find. Generally the price shown is for a used record in NM (Near Mint) condition. If any listing is based on a different condition, I will show it. So, if I show a catalog price of $20.00, that means that currently that item is for sale or valued that price in one of the catalogs. There are times that the only comparative I find is in lessor condition than my item, and I will say that, too. I expect records to sell for less than the stated catalog price in many instances, and will sometimes sell for much more. This happens when the demand exceeds the supply and the record is really in demand. For example, a NM copy of the DS7 610 Beethoven Symphonies/Walter catalogs at about $85.00, but routinely sells for well over $100 in that condition. I hope this is of help to all of you. I am happy to take the time to try and find a current value.

Record Grading

We use the following grading, and use two grades for each record: a vinyl grade and a cover grade.Grading is subjective. One person's near mint- is another person's VG+. All grading is visual. A record will not sound the same on an $88 turntable with a $39 cartridge as it does on a $3000 setup.

Mint Totally perfect. Never played. Possibly sealed. The cover is as one would expect to be new.

Near Mint NM Close to perfect. No obvious surface marks. Cover close to new condition.

Very Good Some signs of play or wear, generally with minor scratches or scuffs with minor effect on listening. Cover is better than average to average.

Good Does not mean bad! This is playable without skipping and some surface noise may be present. Cover may have small splits,writing, tape, etc.

We generally will not sell a record under the rating of good unless it is very rare and has value in lessor condition.

Shipping:

We ship USPS. In the US we ship Media Mail with Delivery confirmation unless Priority or Express mail is requested. Overseas will ship Global Express. WE WILL NOT SHIP SURFACE MAIL OVERSEAS! Shipping charge per record is the actual cost of postage with delivery confirmation + packing cost. Boxed sets and multiple record shipping will be made at actual postage cost plus cost of packing materials. We do not make money off of shipping. We have to pay for boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and peanuts. We charge you what we have to pay for these items. When we receive your zip code or overseas destination we will email the shipping cost to you.
