Description

SSD/SS Decontrol/Society System Decontrol - The Kids Will Have Their Say - X-Claim #1/Dischord #7½ - 1982 First Press - Near Mint
SS Decontrol's debut LP was released in 1982, there was only one pressing of 1900 copies. Includes printed lyric sheet insert.
Original pressing can be identified through matrix runouts, white labels, and proper identification of label as X-Claim on back cover (not "Ex-Claim").
Overall condition is Near Mint. Vinyl is NM with a few very minor scuff marks. Sleeve is NM, still in shinkwrap ($5.99 price written in marker on the wrap), with one corner slightly bent and some minor wear along sleeve opening. Lyric sheet is NM, no marks, very tiny crease in one corner.

Seventeen tracks tumble into each other, with vocals so rushed and garbled they could be one long harangue.... The utility of The Kids Will Have Their Say lies in the lyric sheet, a manifesto by and for Boston’s bored, scared, fed-up, and pissed-off teenagers."
Scott Schinder, in his book Alt-Rock-a-Rama, described SSD as "The most important hardcore band to emerge from New England."
Grading is subjective, I am not a professional dealer. I try to place myself in the position of the buyer and be as accurate as possible, listing any notable defects.
Shipping in US via USPS Priority Mail, it's a bit more expensive but you'll get it quicker with less likelihood of loss or damage. (The only shipments I've ever had "go missing" were sent Media Mail.) Shipping to other countries is via eBay International Shipping.
