Description
ST JOHN GREEN self-titled LP, 1968 on Flick-Disc (FLS 45,001). Kim Fowley produced and wrote 3 songs. Vinyl is in great shape with just a light scuff or so. Label has a name written on it (very small). Jacket is a "cut corner" (marked for discount) with a hole punch in the lower left corner. Jacket also has some water damage and wear and a 1/2" split at the top right corner. Picture is of the actual item, so check it out.

ST. JOHN GREEN - "Awesome album from this garage-y psych band from the 'Canyon' scene in Southern California. At times the group doesn't sound too different from a poppy, melodic r&b influenced garage band of the 60s, at other times the music they made sounded like a bizarre, hard psychedelic journey through hell with an unsettled sound that still manages to be enjoyable for those of us who like the harder deep psych sounds. It's a pretty adventurous listen--and of course this is thanks in part to Producer KIM FOWLEY, who also arranged/wrote a handful of the tracks included."
I'd add to the above quote that they can be rather dark, as you can see from the song titles. But also have a sense of humor.
