Description
This is the 1st STACKRIDGE LP, the original STEREO 1st Press UK vinyl LP, released by STACKRIDGE back in August 1971.
The LP is the original first pressing on the MCA label, number MKDS 8002 and the matrix numbers in the vinyl runout are:
- Side 1: 7-LNMG-242-2L
- Side 2: 7-LNMG-243-2L
I use the Record Collector Vinyl Grading system, which can be viewed at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/RECORD-COLLECTOR-VINYL-RECORD-GRADING-GUIDE-/10000000001916909/g.html I use "+" and "-" where the condition sits between 2 grades to provide a more accurate description. I only use MINT for sealed or unplayed records.
The vinyl is visually in superb EX+ condition, just a small number of barely visible spindle marks, no scratches, just a short thin surface mark on side 1 track 3 that does not affect the audio.
During playtest it also played superbly, quiet between tracks, and is hence rated EX+ for audio.
The cover is a gatefold and is unlaminated, but is in good shape, with just some wear on the top and bottom of the spine, and a small amount of wear on the edges and corners, and is graded as EX. Their is a price sticker at the top left, which I have not attempted to remove.
