Original UK double LP with gatefold sleeve, includes the fold out Poster (BTD 541), the Insert and both original angle corner cut ‘Made in England R.S. 8-76 inner paper sleeves, released in 1977, on the 20th CENTURY RECORDS record label, catalogue number STD 541 (on sleeve) STD 541/2 on records, respectively.
Matrix Numbers Read:
A-side: BTB 541-A 1? MB
B-side: BTB 541-B 1? MB
C-side: BTB 541-C 2? MB
D-side: BTB 541-D 1? MB
Sleeve: EXCELLENT CONDITION
Clean sleeve in EXCELLENT condition, displays one small minor corner bump/knock on the top right hand side, basically just mainly affecting the first gatefold sleeve, has one small minor partial sticker trace residue mark on the front top left hand corner (will not show up on the photographs, and can barely be seen, however it is mentioned) also has a small sticker trace residue mark on the top right hand corner of the back sleeve, just under the catalogue number. Bottom gatefold sleeve has some slight/light partial sleeve edge wear, more so on the back gatefold sleeve as opposed to the front. Middle gatefold sleeve is NEAR MINT in appearance. Record sleeve displays no rips/tears, no record sleeve ring wear, no other edge wear (than mentioned), no seem splits and no sleeve creases (tiny minor creases on the corner bump, already mentioned, however there is absolutely nothing else evident). Both original angle corner cut ‘Made in England R.S. 8-76 inner paper sleeves are in EXCELLENT condition, overall clean, with no visible faults or any damage. The insert is in EXCELLENT condition, clean with no rips/tears or any creases. The Poster (BTD 541) is in EXCELLENT condition, clean with no rips/tears or any pin holes evident.
Records: EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT CONDITION
Record labels are in EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT condition, A-side and C-side labels have very carefully mounted stickers showing number and date (would expect these can be easily removed with the correct solvent, but would expect a residue mark to be left, however I leave that to the buyer’s discretion), any spindle hole trail marks are few, faint and minor. Playing surfaces and matrix areas retain the full original lustre on all sides, displaying only a few (minimal, minor and almost negligible) small barely visible, ultra-light, fine line surface scuffs, which only show up/appear when angled and viewed closely under a strong bright light. Graded visually as NEAR MINT throughout. However have graded EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT owing to the label stickers. Overall a top quality well preserved first press Star Wars record from my own private collection.
