Side A - OWEN GRAY- MASH IT - Pt.1 - Near Mint - a few light marks but the vinyl is absolutely sparkling new.

Side B - OWEN GRAY- MASH IT - Pt.2 - Near Mint - a few light marks but the vinyl is absolutely sparkling new.

Extremely rare and in absolutely prime condition. This record is 45 years old and is looking fantastic. The label is almost pristine - on one side the gold labelling is slightly dulled on the "S" of Starlite otherwise it is mint. The vinyl is lovely clean and bright with only the slightest of marks. Musically the record plays as if it was pressed yesterday - extremely loud and clear. Both tracks are uptempo R'n'B pre-ska numbers. Part 2 is the same track as Part 1 but is brought in just as it goes in to extended instrumental solos. It is the only record I have ever heard this on! I don't think you will see another copy in better condition.

GRADING SYSTEM

I have graded the records as best I can using the system below. I have also given each side a fuller description. Personally I don't mind a bit of surface noise in my JA tunes providing the music is bright and loud but if I think it's too noisy I will state it in the description.

Please note + and - are used to help give specific gradings. For example VG++ would probably play excellent but may have surface marks that a record graded "Excellent" wouldn't have. VG- on the other hand would probably have a lot more surface marks and may have some light crackle/pop as a result but overall would still play very bright and strong and be totally acceptable.

NEAR MINT (NM) Sparkling! The vinyl and label have no signs of marks and is virtually unplayed.

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The label may have signs of age but the vinyl plays great.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches causing very light crackle.

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches, but overall plays loud and bright and will not jump and if you like your vinyl with an authentic sound it will be fine for the sound system man!

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump but if it does I will state it in the description. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or defaced.
