This is a re-list due to buyer in previous auction not completing the sale.
Much sought after, original 1975 pressing of Steam Heat's "Austin Funk" on Fable Records. Reportedly, only 1,000 copies were pressed.
The jacket shows normal storage wear. It does have rub marks due to not having been stored in an appropriate plastic sleeve. Please see photos. There are no splits or tears anywhere. The corners have been bumped, as has the top edge, twice. There is, however, writing on the back of the cover that appears to be the autographs of every member of the band. Not knowing the history of this particular copy, I'm not listing this as an autographed copy. I would grade the cover as a strong VG.
The record is beautiful. It does have two or three spindle trails on both labels, so it has been played, but not much. The record retains nearly all of it's original gloss. There are three ' dimples" or "pressing bubbles' on each side. I have just played the record and detected no noise at all from any of them. I grade the record as VG+/M-.
The record will shipped outside of the jacket inside of a new clear poly sleeve and packed well, using a brand new LP mailer, not two pieces of recycled cardboard taped together.

Steam Heat
Austin Funk (Fable)In the 1970s when cowboys were cosmic, Austin Funk was an unlikely word pairing. In the heart of outlaw country, funk renegades Steam Heat packed dance floors at the Armadillo World Headquarters and Soap Creek Saloon with Tower of Power-styled grooves. The eightpiece released its lone LP in 1975 before undergoing an Extreme Heat makeover two years later. The reissue of Austin Funk comes at a time when the 1,000 or so original pressings fetch big bucks online. The group's jazz foundation flourishes on the bopping fusion of "Body Talk" and "Frozen Tundra Lady," while slinky bouncer "Funk 'n' Roll" shows off the dynamic interplay between frontmen Bruce Spelman and Phil Ritcherson. Swanky time portals "Groove Awhile" and "Since I Met You" have a shag-carpet-on-the-ceiling vibe, Steam Heat boiling over on smoking funk dynamos "Radiator" and "Ghetto Tool," a pair of tunes that prove Austin Funk is no oxymoron.
