STEEL PULSE - Handsworth Revolution
Classic debut 1978 UK 8-track LP on the blue Island label, including the title track and single Ku Klux Klan, issued in the gatefold picture sleeve.
Handsworth Revolution was dedicated to the people of Handsworth, a poverty-stricken neighborhood of Birmingham with its population heavily West Indian, and home to this classic British reggae outfit. Known for their politically fired music influenced by the dread militancy of Jamaica's roots scene and landing slap bang in the middle of the British punk explosion of the late 70s, Steel Pulse's debut album is now considered a classic, not just for its strength and urgency but for soldering in steel the very links between the British punk and reggae communities of the time. This heavy weight vinyl is in EX/MINT condition with only the very lightest of surface sleeve scuffs otherwise wonderful un-marked vinyl both sides. Two clean labels and un-damaged centre label spindle holes. The vinyl remains in superb condition retaining a glorious luster after 30+ years on!.
Sleeve :
This gatefold sleeve is in EX/MINT condition. The printing is exceptionally bold, and images are sharp. Edges,corners and spine are clean and sharp, spine text is clear to read. Some very light edge creasing. No pen of or tears any kind. Comes complete with original plain inner sleeve in excellent condition.
