Description
Salutations friends. Up for auction is a rare collectable, the Steev Mike 7inch EP "released" via Bulb records. Although the liner notes indicate a 1992 release, this record did not surface until 2006. There is some speculation as to the origins of this record, detailed on the Andrew W.K. Homestead page...(Google for site, I cannot post a link due to Ebay's updated policies).
Interestingly enough, I met a musician who goes by the alias DJ Dog Dick, who once played in Nautical Almanac with Twig Harper. He's also a devout Andrew W.K. fan and claims that Twig himself pressed the record in limited quantities. From what I could gather, he and Andrew are pre-fad internet trolls, feeding the mystique surrounding the think tank known as Steev Mike. This is not to say that Steev Mike does not exist in some capacity. Developments between 2006 and 2010 suggest otherwise, including the nonexistent releases of The Carrier, Young Lord, the supposed 4th Andrew W.K. release titled Raucous and the collapse of Skyscraper Music Maker.
