Description

Here are some of the first singles from the Stiff Record label.  The auction is for a total of 36 seven inch records and includes all of the releases under the catalogue number BUY from 1 to 32 except BUY 5, 7 and 31.   So here you have some of the first releases from The Damned, Motorhead, Elvis Costello, Ian Dury and Lene Lovich.

Also included are BUY  39 Rachel Sweet B-A-B-Y; BUY 47 Kirsty MacColl They Don’t Know; BUY 51 Angie Peppermint Lump; and Lene Lovich’s Lucky Number, Say When and Bird Song.   Most of them are in picture sleeves.

I haven’t played these singles in years but they were all fine when I last did but some of the picture sleeves are a bit worn.

Included in the lot are New Rose, Neat Neat Neat, Problem Child and Don’t Cry Wolf by THE DAMNED.  Less than Zero, Alison, Red Shoes and Watching the Detectives by ELVIS COSTELLO.   White Line Fever/Leaving Here by MOTORHEAD.   Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll and Sweet Gene Vincent by IAN DURY.    I Think We're Alone Now by Lene Lovich.

Some of the early Damned, Dury, Costello and Motorhead singles can go for a fair amount on their own.   These are being sold as one lot with a low starting price and no reserve.   Any questions please get in touch.  Quite heavy all together so this reflected in a p & p price of £6.00.

Happy for personal collection from south London.   Cheers.
