Transatlantic TRA 220 1970 UK

Condition Vinyl EX/Sleeve EX

This is the Very Rare & Obscure 1ST Issue UK Pressing of this Psych/Folk band on the Purple/White Transatlantic Label in `Macneill Press` Gatefold sleeve - matrix/Runout Groove - STRA 220 A1/STRA 220 B1 Mother Stampers A4/A2

Vinyl - Nice THICK vinyl (as you would expect on a 1st issue early 1970`s release), Looks and Plays Great - under very bright spotlight I can see some sleeve removal scuffs and a couple of hairlines (nothing feelable), no scratches!!

Labels - UNDAMAGED & CLEAN - under bright lights there are some spindle lines, but this record has not been overplayed!! - it is on the rarer 1ST ISSUE purple/white version (later Transatlantic releases had a picture of a globe and sailing boats) - `Made in England` rim credits - comes with white `Made in Great Britain` Inner sleeve!

Sleeve - Original `MacNeill Press, London` Gatefold Sleeve, Nice undamaged Spine, Hardly any edge Wear At All! NO bad Ring Wear, Slight feathering on the Opening, the negative would be the sticky label damage & crease front top right (see photos) - still a nice copy easily grades as EX!! - NO Graffiti/NO Tears etc !!

Rarity - YES!! This is a very obscure LP, Transatlantic never  really pressed up the majority of their artists (mostly Folk) in any great quantities, this was especially obscure as a Psych/Prog/Folk release - while not Mint definitely hard to find in this EX condition!

Musically - It reminded me of Ithaca & Fire (Magic Shoemaker) with its interwoven narration style! This is a great opportunity to get hold of this rarity!!

Tracklisting:

Floor of the Park/Man in the Moon Passage Song/Alice Brown/The Lake/Gingerbread Man/Over the Hills

Story/First Week in January/Has Been/Ballad of the Three Laps/Morning Glow/Song for Buster/Love`s a Blind

Why not buy more than 1 item and save on postage costs

Just a note on Grading - I always play grade my records right through and unless stated they do not jump, skip or stick when played!!! I always view the vinyl under a very bright halogen spotlight!!! Why? because although I have excellent vision when viewed under a normal light or even worse a fluorescent tube (most shops have these) the vinyl will not show up how marked it truly is - some view records in daylight but this has to be done in direct sunlight to see the hidden marks - I do this so that I can give the full picture and should please even the most `critical` of collectors. Also I photograph the WHOLE of the cover (I don't cut off the corners or edge) so you can see as close as possible what you will receive!!

Postage/packing: I use new professional record mailers with several cardboard stiffeners to protect the cover - the record will be placed in a NEW clean inner sleeve, removed from the record cover (saves ringwear/pushing through seams) and together with original old inner placed in a NEW pvc outer sleeve - I also include recorded delivery as standard in the overall cost in the UK (70p) it covers up to £30 in case of loss - it will be optional for international packages (as it is more expensive) but still advisable! - please note complete postage charges (below) before bidding!

Payment - I am quite patient but if I have waited a couple of weeks for money and sent reminders unless there is a good reason I will claim back my fees and give a nonpaying bidder strike - I don't charge for Paypal!

Returns - If you feel there are any problems with an item you have purchased please feel free to contact me - I will be glad to discuss the matter as I want people to be happy with their purchase!!!
