Description

The classic Dorati stereo recording of Stravinsky's Firebird, on original 1960 US Mercury Living Presence audiophile LP SR90226. One of the all-time great recordings of this piece, and one of the greatest stereo recordings of any genre at any time. A classic music experience, only to be had with a nearly mint original first pressing copy, which this is. The later represses are not nearly so present and downright three-dimensional. Not even the 180 gram reissues. This is the only way to hear it correctly, and this copy is about as close to MINT PERFECT as you will see. Truly a beautiful copy with barely a mark on it and which plays almost completely like new. The cover is equally almost perfect. This copy is hard to beat and may be the best any of us will ever see.
