Description

  Beautiful copy of the original 1940 issue of Stravinsky conducting his own Rite of Spring recorded at Carnegie Hall, on Columbia Masterworks four-disc album set of 12" 78rpm records. This is the rare version with the wonderful cover with real artwork, as opposed to the more common (but still rare) issue with the ugly generic cover. All four discs are in superb condition, appearing barely, if ever, played at all. Very near perfect mint. The cover has only light wear, mainly at the edges, but the spine is intact, the binding strong, and overall it looks just stunning.  A top copy.
