Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by L.A. psych/sunshine pop group the Strawberry Alarm Clock, released in 1967. The group was formed by members of two groups, Thee Sixpence and Waterfyrd Traene [sic]. The song they're most remembered for, the title track from their debut, which was a #1 hit single in 1967, was originally released by Thee Sixpence. It's atypical of most of the tracks on this LP, which are closer to sunshine pop. The exception is the 8+ minute lead-off track, "The World's on Fire," which was subsequently featured in the 1968 film Psych Out (starring a young Jack Nicholson). The jacket is close to M- with light ring and seam wear (EX+). The disc has some light scraping and scuffing, and plays with some light surface noise -- EX(-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
