STRAWBERRY ALARM CLOCK - WAKE UP... IT'S TOMORROW (UNI 73025) CLASSIC '68 PSYCH

CONDITION DETAILS:

JACKET (VG+)  Fully solid jacket with no rips, tears, holes, splits or other major blemishes.  Mostly normal, honest wear including light ring wear that does not distract from the gorgeous psychedelic artwork on the front cover. Initials red "Sharpied" upper right corner on back. Edge chatter all around, some spine lettering is missing.

VINYL (VG+)  Nice, glossy disc with a number of thin, lightly audible needle-drop scratches as well as a few scuffs here and there.  Plays quite clean, with minimal inner-groove chatter.  The music is dynamically strong with some tickiness between tracks and in quiet passages, most noticeable on side 2.  One red Sharpie mark on the side 1 label (apparently denoting the original owner's favorite track.)

INSERTS - None, as issued. Generic, plain paper inner sleeve.

PERSONAL NOTES ON THE MUSIC - This quickly recorded follow-up to the SAC's debut "Incense and Peppermints" has no massive hit single to propel it like that amazing first release.  That said, it's not bad but begins to suffer from weaker song writing and a less aggressive approach.  "Tomorrow" is a great song and a semi-hit single, probably the closest to their more up-beat tunes from SAC #1.  "They Saw the Fat One Coming" is a pleasant, mellow, song featuring Ed King's (future Lynyrd Skynyrd) trippy guitar work, Association-like vocal harmonies, and some sitar - a nice song. "Curse of the Witches" is a draggy-druggy near 7 minute long dirge, propped up only by some cool mid-song tempo and mood changes.  The "Pretty Song from Psych Out" is exactly what it says. The "Black Butter" three-part medley is an interesting and trippy trio of very different musical themes. Not bad, but it kind of self-destructs at times in random noise.  All together it is a decent, but flawed at times, sophomore effort by the SAC.

GENERAL NOTES - I describe my records with as many details as possible, because I want you to get what you think you're getting.  I have been a buyer of records on eBay for many years and I know just how sparsely or inaccurately described so many records are.  I want this to be a positive buying experience for you.  My photos accurately show the full jacket (front and back), full disc (front and back), special sleeves or inserts (front and back), as well as an angle view of the spine.  All my records have been shelf-stored vertically in a non-smoking home since their purchase.  They have only been played on high-quality vintage turntables using audiophile-level cartridges and styli (eg. currently using Shure M97xE) at a tracking force of 1.5g+.?

Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail. THE VINYL WILL BE PACKED OUTSIDE OF THE JACKET TO HELP PREVENT SEAM SLITS DURING SHIPPING
