Description
Here is a lovely UK copy of Stray's self-titled debut album on the rarely seen first pressing lilac and white Transatlantic label from 1970.
And how wonderful to find such a beautifully preserved example of this delicate die-cut gatefold sleeve!
This unlaminated gatefold with absolutely NO creasing or tearing of the vulnerable die-cut lettering must grade at least VG+ or even EX.
Both first press lilac and white labels are in lovely condition with no writing or rips and little sign of any play, with no wear around the spindle hole; both sides of the vinyl look in VG+ condition with only the lightest of surface marks visible when examined under strong halogen lighting. The disc plays through beautifully, both sides, without skips or jumps, and delivers terrific audio - this is great gutsy guitar music which brings to mind T2 or Bakerloo.
Good luck if you are bidding - I carefully pack vinyl using professional packaging and post with the disc removed from the sleeve to prevent knifing during transit.
