SUB FOCUS/WILKINSON

Portals(gatefold heavyweight vinyl 2xLP + MP3 download code)

EMI

Cat: V 3252. Rel: 12 Oct 20
Drum And Bass/Jungle

Side 1 - Track 1. Air I Breathe Side 1 - Track 2. Enter Night Side 1 - Track 3. Illuminate Side 2 - Track 1. Freedom Side 2 - Track 2. Turn The Lights Off Side 2 - Track 3. Just Hold On Side 3 - Track 1. Ray Of Sun Side 3 - Track 2. Alone Side 4 - Track 1. Time Side 4 - Track 2. Stratus Side 4 - Track 3. In Bloom

Two of the most successful artists to take drum & bass into the mainstream in the last 10 years; Sub Focus & Wilkinson could have so easily created a collection of big hands in the air bangers and satisfied a lot of fans. But instead they've taken things a little deeper and created an album that's more explorative and soft focus than you might expect. The main flavour is much a floatier, silky style that weaves between trancey sing-alongs such as 'Air I Breathe' to bigger clubbier cuts like 'Illuminate' by way of non-drum & bass adventures such as the twinkling Get Physical hip wriggles of 'Alone' and the Bicep-flexing cloud surfer 'Stratus'. Landing while clubs are still shutdown for the foreseeable, the timing of this is perfect.
