Auch der Zustand des Vinyls würde eine »Mint«-Einstufung bekommen, würde es nicht am Ende von »So Young« bis zum Anfang von »Animal Nitrate« für genau 21 Sekunden knacksen – selbstverständlich ohne zu springen. Es handelt sich nicht um einen von mir verursachten Kratzer, sondern um einen von Anfang an vorhandenen Pressfehler – da ich diesen erst in Deutschland bemerkte, die LP aber bei ihrem Erscheinen in London kaufte, konnte ich das Ganze nicht mehr umtauschen. Es ist zwar ärgerlich, aber auch nicht soo schlimm, da es sich bei den betroffenen Stücken ja um zwei Kracher handelt und nicht um Pianoballaden.
The vinyl would have got a »mint« grading too, but hasn't been given one because of a crack of 21 seconds length at the end of »So Young« through to the beginning of »Animal Nitrate«. Of course the record does not skip or so! This crack has not been caused by me but is rather a mistake that happened during the pressing process. I only realised it when I was home in Germany and since I bought the album when it came out in London it was impossible to exchange it. It's not nice, of course, but it's not a drama as well – most of all because that crack happens between two of the heavier pieces of Suede and not during two of their piano ballads.
