Description

This is the red, star-shaped vinyl pressing of Sufjan Stevens' demo version of his beloved song "Chicago".  It features a misprint and was limited to 2000 copies. From star point to star point, it measures about ten inches across but the playable recording part of the pressing is about the size of a conventional 45 single.  I purchased this directly from Stevens' record label back in 2016, played it a couple of times, and have stored it safely since.  It comes in a plain white paper inner sleeve and plain white outer sleeve as issued.  It is near mint though the star shape makes it a bit hard to get in and out of its inner sleeve!  See photos for condition.
This is the information about this pressing from Asthmatic Kitty Records: "Remember when we had that Come On Feel the Illinoise repress that came with a super secret gift?Well, that super secret gift is none other than a red star shaped (representing the flag of Chicago and CM Punk) record of a demo version of the great song Chicago. It plays at 33 rpm, but they printed 45 rpm on the label, so they are making the misprints available for sale separately.  We pressed 2,000 Chicago-city-flag star-shaped 12" singles of a demo version of "Chicago" for the Blue Marvel edition of Illinois, but made an error: we printed 45 RPM on the label instead of the correct 33RPM. We're now selling these separately and hope you enjoy (at 33RPM)."
