SUGAR MINOTT - Dancehall Showcase Vol. 2 (Black Roots BRST1002) 10" Mini-LP 1983
Nicely presented original 10" mini-LP which features four vocal cuts, each accompanied by its dub. Comes in original Picture Cover. There is a pressing bubble right on the edge of the vinyl on the B-side, but this only affects the outermost couple of run-in grooves and is well clear of the final three or four run-in grooves and the playing surface itself. The tracks on the B-side do not correspond with the titles on the label, actually being Inna The Dance (?), Dub, Dread A Me Idrin, Dread Locks Rock, thus Strictly Sensi and its dub are absent.
Tracks: Informa, Informa Dub, Genuine Lover, Genuine Dub, Dread A Me Idrin, Dread Locks Rock, Strictly Sensi, Sensi Dub.
A-side: A very small amount of intermittent surface noise with an occasional small or smallish pressing pop and a few smallish clicks - nothing too significant. Grade - EX-/EX
B-side: A small amount of intermittent surface noise with an occasional small or smallish pressing pop or click. Grade - EX-/EX
Labels: Not the clearest labels ever !! During the labelling process ink has transferred from one label to another causing smudging and ghosting of the text (see scan). The final two titles on the B-side have been blacked out.
More crucial roots 10", 12" and LPs will be listed daily over the next couple of weeks.
