THE SULTANS FIVE-45-"You Know, You Know" b/w "Calico"-Enterprise Thirteen Records # 812E-1066-Great 1966 GARAGE / PUNK-on the PUNK side of Garage-out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin-A side is Killer-Kool Fuzz-guitar driven/dominated Punk...with what sounds like a Farfisa organ and additional second guitar (sounds like a Fender) accompanying the fuzz-guitar throughout...gutteral, and at times snotty lead vocals...lead break sounds like the beginning of the CHOB’s "We’re Pretty Quick"-not as uptempo, but the idea of a fuzz guitar, organ and second guitar doing a similar pattern as that intro. B side is a very cool, tough teen-punk ballad...real moody, Animal-esue with Zombies’ overtones...comes with groovy-stock Enterprise Thirteen record company sleeve. Great record. Condition: Record is somewhat difficult to grade—in really nice condition overall—there is a very slight, slow warp, which does not affect play at all...tracking at less than a gram on a Thorens turntable...also what could best be described as a ‘smudge’ (almost like a fingerprint if you will, but not a fingerprint—visible in certain light angles) on the outer edge before the grooves of the record start, and another small fingerprint type-smudge on the first part of the intro of the grooves on the record—Only on A side...also some very slight, nearly non-visible paper scuffs visible in certain light angles...plays great...some slight noise on B side due to the fact that the content is not as abrasive and loud musically as the A side. Label is clean both sides....
