Description
Pls. ck. below for another picture. I am auctioning a rare 45 Sun Label, #209, Elvis record. This record was made in Memphis, Tennessee, in the beginning of Elvis Presley's Rock and Roll career in July of 1954. It is a Sun records catalog number 209. In small letters is printed Wabash BMI and Vocal U-128 I am selling this record for a man whose father purchased it as a young boy. This is authentic, so bid with confidence. On one side of the record is "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and on the other is "That's All Right". This record has a 1/2 label cut on each side, near the center edge, from the metal disc, which were used to play 45 records on 78 record players. There are some expected scratches due to age and play. One is deeper than the other light scratches, but it is in the area near the label, where no music was recorded. This rare 45 record should clean-up nicely and will make the perfect addition to anyone's Elvis collection! It comes with a 45 brown paper cover, which came with the record.

I received this information from an eBay member.
I spoke with someone at SUN records who was there when these were produced
and he told me that the original sleeves on the 1950's records WERE the
plain brown sleeves -- he said the SUN sleeves were used at a later date.
