Description

Sun Ra & Merzbow

Strange City

Format: LP

Record Label: Cold Spring

Condition: New (sealed)

* 2016 release - 180 gram vinyl - includes download code.
* Cold Spring Records present Strange City featuring completely different music on each format. Officially licensed from Irwin Chusid of the Sun Ra estate, Cold Spring's Justin Mitchell negotiated rare and unreleased tracks from the Sun Ra archive to be remixed and treated by Masami Akita (Merzbow). The tracks incorporate the jazz power of Sun Ra, carried into brutal excess by the legendary Japanese artist Merzbow.
* Track Listing: Granular Jazz Part 1 / Granular Jazz Part 3 / Granular Jazz Part 4
* Important note: this is recommended for fans of Merzbow mostly, it's extreme/harsh noise music. It doesn't resemble jazz or Sun Ra's music all that much so I just want everyone to be aware of this. I do recommend it though if you like Merzbow because it's a good Merzbow record if you're a fan of his music.

* BOXER RECORDS is a one person owned/operated store. I guarantee that you will get fast and friendly service and secure/careful packaging. Shipping for records is $4 for the first, CD's are $3 for the first, and both are 50 cents for each additional. Just build a shopping cart and then you can pay for everything at once and the discount will take effect. Please contact me with any questions before or after the sale, I'm always around and quick to respond. Thanks. -Kevan
