Description
Sun Ra's Nuclear War was released on the indie English label Y Records in 1982, RA 1 with the b-side Sometimes I'm Happy sung by June Tyson.
Apparently this was the jazz legend's only official 12 inch single release in his career though that may not be true given the amount of records he made - but the word is he thought it might be a hit - despite the language he was using!
Both tracks were recorded in New York in September 1982 and are certainly more easy listening and traditional than some of his stuff.
The front cover has a couple of faint marks and the back has a touch of vinly ringwear on the back but it's basically in a good condition.
The A-side plays perfectly and the vinly is in good nick but there is a large scratch on the B-side which means, though it plays, it is sometimes pretty crackly.
