GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : a dire il vero la canzone del film era stata composta e cantata da Johnny Cunningham due anni prima. L'autore della colonna sonora, Joe Beck, arrangiò differentemente questo brano affidandolo al gruppo di studio Sundown Company. Si tratta di una ballata malinconica ben eseguita vocalmente e strumentalmente con una ritmica vivace. Il lato B contiene una canzone non tratta dal film. Pure questa è una ballata, qui cantata molto bene da un'interprete femminile, forse dalla stessa compositrice Lisa Ann, accompagnata da belle sonorità con un moderato andamento ritmico. 

Notes : to tell the truth the film song was composed and sung by Johnny Cunningham two years earlier. The author of the soundtrack, Joe Beck, arranged differently this piece entrusting to the studio group Sundown Company. It is a melancholy ballad well performed vocally and instrumentally with a lively rhythm. The B side contains a song which is not from the movie. Too is a ballad, in this case very well sung by a female artist, possibly its author Lisa Ann, accompanied by excellent sonorities on a moderate development.
