Description
SUNNYLAND SLIM – Midnight Jump ORIG Blue Horizon LP / S 7-63213 (UK, Stereo, 1969)
Happy to present a really well looked after copy of this rare BH album – Slim plays with Shakey Horton, Johnny Shines and Willie Dixon. It’s one of 3 super clean LPs on this label I have on offer this week.
The single format, fully laminated sleeve is very pleasing indeed. Grades EX+ (Excellent Plus). 2 small thumb creases to the front panel, thin line of laminate lift to the spine edge, very slight ring impression to the lower half and a laminate bump to the front top left corner. Otherwise, a lovely shiny and smooth laminate, no splits, rips. Sharp opening edges indicate this record has not been removed from this sleeve too often. Great uncompressed spine with all text fully legible. Gold ‘stereo’ sticker to the rear. No writing or text impressions. A very nice sleeve for its 42 years of age.
The smooth labels are fine – no issues, writing or damage. Couple of super light spindle trails to one side only from what I can make out.
The sharp, light to medium weight vinyl - like the other 2 Blue Horizon Lps on sale right now – absolutely looks the part. There are no scratches, scrapes or hairlines. Possibly one or two faint sleeve scuffs if you look closely. Visually grades a minimum EX+ (Excellent Plus). IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays close to Mint. By that I mean you can expect quiet run-in grooves and super definition. I didn’t hear any clicks, pops or crackle. Possibly the (very) occasional dust tick but really that’s being picky. THIS LP PLAYS SUPERBLY WITH NO DISTORTION, LOSS OF CLARITY OR LACK OF DEFINITION. Brilliant audio with great separation – all components come through loud and clear. This should not disappoint!
No reserve.

PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO UNDERSTAND MY GRADES!
I do not use any more than ONE plus or minus between grades. After all, WHAT ON EARTH DOES VG+++++ MEAN? What is NM+? Or EX---? These are just some of the ridiculous gradings I’ve encountered on eBay. I am very careful using the EX (Excellent) grade. Excellent, by dictionary definition means ‘extremely good’ NOT ‘marked and slightly beat up with wear’!
