ARTIST: SUPERCHUNK

PRESSED IN: Australia .
RELEASE DATE: early 1991
This was actually the band's 4th ever release (after the Chunk EP, the "Slack Motherf*cker" single, and the "Three's Company" single)...and that's despite what any other Superchunk discographies may suggest (I was personally involved in releasing this)...and it was an exclusive Australian-only release.
Messiah Complex was an offshoot of Sydney indie label Phantom Records, set up to release some fierce, tough-as-all-f*ck, guitar-heavy, grungey, vinyl-only items in limited runs; the label was high on quality soundwise, and packaging-wise as well. There ended up being only 5 x 7" releases and one mini-LP ~ all very collectable ~ (before some Downtime CDs appeared a couple of years later).
Anyway, the first pressing of this was a mere 200 on green vinyl, and 800 on purple vinyl - these were ALL sold out on advance orders alone, meaning it was effectively deleted on the day of release. About 6 months later a further 1000 were pressed on yellow vinyl.
So what we have here, is one of the stupidly rare green vinyl ones...in MINT CONDITION!!
