Description
This is an auction for a rare LP, Suppe Overtures, George Solti, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
This was released by Decca records in 1959 and has catalogue number SXL2174. This is the 1st pressing with a groove running the circumference of the label, also known as WBg, wide band grooved. This is stereophonic. Please check the pictures for clarification.
Condition: The sleeve has some light dirt marks, some of which will clean of the laminated surface, a few small lamination creases and one small crease to the bottom rear flipback edge. Spine & edges ex, no tears, bends, superb mouth, no overall discolouring and graded at Near Mint.
This comes with its original 'Decca FFSS' inner sleeve which looks immaculate, no edge splits or discolouring.
Both labels look immaculate and new, Under closer examination a few tiny spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole is just about perfect with label two having a slight fraying to the top half of the centre hole, being ultra fussy as usual, Superb labels.
The vinyl retains its brand new shine and looks immaculate, Under closer examination, a strong light, both sides still look immaculate, I can find only two feather scratches on this one. These, of course, are completely non-audible and as stated only seen under the closest of examiantions. Playing with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality and certainly not suffering any reduction due to wear. Strong audio and playing with no distortion, fading or dragging heard whatsoever. Just about as good as you can find this and graded at Near Mint.
Fine sleeve, fine inner, superb labels, played a few times at the most, fantastic audio, superb looking and a fine collectors item.
