Description
I was bequeathed this record by a friend. I am not a record dealer nor collector. Therefore I don’t feel confident to grade the record using any industry standards. However I would say it is in excellent condition. I will also give an honest description of the condition of the record as I see/hear it.
Whilst there is evidence of wear/ageing on the spine (please see images), considering the age of the album, generally the cover appears to be in very nice condition. A few minor creases inside the gatefold are evident, but nothing significant. (Again please refer to the images)
There are a few very faint inaudible hairline marks on the record, none of which can be felt. I think it would be fair to say you need to inspect the record rather than just look at it to find them.
I have play tested the record on a extremely good Hi-Fi system and it sounds very impressive. The reproduction is clean, full of detail and dynamic. I can’t imagine the record sounded much better the first time it was played.
This is a well-preserved super rare monster record. I understand its a must-have for any discerning prog rock vinyl record collector.
If the winning bidder collects the record (which I would prefer) a sample demo play (with coffee) would be offered.
