Description

Welcome to the World of MacLizardking’s Music.

Here’s the deal folks…

·        I grade honestly to a STRICT “Record Collector” grading system.

·        I ONLY sell high quality vinyl, some rare, some far less so, but always the best I can find.

·        If it says “NM”… it means “NM”.

·        Every lp is re-housed in a high-quality polly-lined inner sleeve & a thick pollythene outer sleeve.

·        Every lp is both visually and aurally inspected. The ONLY way to appoint an accurate grading.

·        Every lp is re-housed in the polly sleeve, outside the original prior to packaging. No splits!

·        I l feedback WHEN YOU PAY! No “ransoming” here! You’ve done your bit, so now it’s up to me!

·        I package each lp personally and with a ludicrous level of care! Practically a work of art!

·        I strive to provide the VERY best product and service levels possible, with detailed descriptions.

·        I do all this as I genuinely love both music and people, and e-bay is a fantastic forum for both!

·        PLEASE check my feedback… it even amazes me as to how kind buyer’s comments can be!

Peace & love…

MacLizardking.

Introduction and MacLizardking’s Initial Review: Okay, I'm going to have to take a break from my multiple listings, as I'll be moving house at the end of this month... chaos will, I guess, ensue! I've some serious rarities to offer to you lucky lot over the coming month or so while the move is taking place, so will endeavor to get at least a “diamond-a-day” as it were, on to the bay, but, until at least mid-August, there might be some interruptions on the listing and dispatch front, but, obviously, will still try to provide as sparkling a service as possible!  Multiple photos and fully detailed descriptions below, back in the MacLizardking groove!

Right, so I promised you rarities and they simply don’t come much more rare than this! It’s a seriously stunning, FIRST PRESS issue of the Swinging Blue Jeans classic... AND is served up in an equally STUNNING, PATENT’S PENDING, 1st issue sleeve! A SERIOUS find in any condition... but like this... well it’s simply IMPOSSIBLE!!! Now, please read on for the full, glorious details… being both my personal description statement and accuracy of condition guarantee.

Detailed Cover & Inner-sleeve Review.

Specific cover grading: EX+

Comment: AWESOME, 6411 Garrod & Lofthouse Patent’s Pending, 1st issue.

Front: Beautiful, bright, tight and CLEAN (!!!) lamination, just two tiny stress creases to spine and slightest (2mm) laminate creep (NO DAMAGE!) from slightly ridged sleeve opening.

Back: Equally amazing... all foldbacks stuck tight and undamaged, solitary stress crease to spine. Light ridging to sleeve opening, BUT rear panel ONLY discoloured toward opening, all else rather STUNNING!!!

Edges & Corners: AWESOME!!! Just miniscule whisper of lightest fuzzing to corner tip extremities, but NO dinks what-so ever! Seams totally unworn!

Spine: Perfect shape and fully legible, just solitary crease point.

Inner-sleeve: Original rice-paper lined HMV paper-slip ad-bag in NM (Yep, NEAR MINT!!!) condition, now with brand new polly-liner.

Record Collector Sleeve Gradings;

M (Mint) : “The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition”

NM (Near Mint) : The slightest whisper off perfect, as described above.

EX (Excellent): “The cover and packaging might have minor ware and/or creasing”

VG (Very Good) : “Normal ware and tare on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable”

G (Good) : “The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc”.

F (Fair) : “The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced”.

P (Poor) : “The cover or contents will be badly damaged or partly missing”.

Detailed Vinyl/s & Labels Review.

Specific Vinyl grading: EX

Comment: Truly staggering copy of a RARE 60’s classic. This is one NOT to miss!

Visual: STILL retains a lovely sheen and genuine depth of gloss. There are light surface rubs (one long one on side one in particular) a few light papermarks and even a genuine scratch on side one track one....

Audio: .... HOWEVER, this incredible LP delivers totally and utterly, start to finish, both sides... the aforementioned mark did not register what so ever! Being such a collector’s item, I gave this one a full play through (removing a lot of record “gack” in the process – followed with a light dusting of pro-clean and a LIGHT brush with velvet brush... sounded EVEN BETTER afterwards!!!) start to finish, both sides, and beyond the slightest whisper of surface noise on the play ins and the VERY, VERY occasioned tickle of sound BETWEEN the tracks themselves (though I should also state that most gaps are near SILENT!!!!) this one is simply SUPERB! Fractionally top-end-ish, being an EARLY 60’s Mono recording, but certainly nothing like a click tick or pop to disturb one’s listening pleasure... put it like this, if you’ve EVER been after a copy of this classic (let alone a FIRST PRESS in A Pat’s Pend sleeve!!!) this MUST be the one! It’s simply awesome!!!

Labels: Lightest, centralised spindle marks, just visible, both sides.

Record Collector Vinyl Gradings;

M (Mint) : “The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.”

NM (Near Mint) : The slightest whisper off perfect, as described above.

EX (Excellent) : “The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality”

VG (Very Good) : “The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch”

G (Good) : “The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches”

F (Fair) : “The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump”.

P (Poor) : “The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc”.

B (Bad) : “The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler”.

Photos: While I try to describe each and every nick, if, indeed, there are such things at all, (!!!) and provide as accurate a photo as possible above, should you require additional photographs of this lp, please just mail me and I’ll dispatch to your personal mail box. I should also mention that all photos are VERY carefully set up, with NO possibility of damage to the precious vinyl being photographed!

For further slices of quality vinyl, dating from the late 50’s through to the current day, please visit “MacLizardking Music” located at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/maclizardkingmusic  where the policies of high quality and honest-service are paramount. Either duplicates from my personal collection or items that just aren’t really my bag that I’ve picked up along the way.

·         I will not lie on “Customs Notification” labels for packages going outside of the EU.

And finally…

Whilst this may all appear slightly excessive on the detail front, I do go to great lengths to ensure the accuracy of these listings and promote “service” and “honesty” as treasured commodities as, on rare occasion, I have found them to be lacking in (one or two) others with whom I have dealt on e-bay… however, NOT here! I feel I should also add that I have been professionally involved in either the music or entertainment industry for the last 20 years and as a fan of all genres of “quality” music since year “dot”…  To verify all this manic attention to detail  please do check my feedback, which I go to great lengths to keep positive and my buyers are both cool and kind enough to leave.

 OVER 2500 POSITIVE SALES FEEDBACK RATINGS CAN’T BE WRONG FOLKS!!!

My genuine appreciation for looking at my listing and checking out all this blurb. I hope this finds you well, under “blue skies” and at peace with your world, whilst listening to some groovy tunes on the greatest format ever, lovely, lovely warm & natural vinyl!

Cheers, peace & love;

MacLizardking.
