Description
Very nice condition copy of this rare 1958 release on Decca Records (SXL 2011) with its original Wide Band & grooved label design with "Original Recording By..." rim text - ED1. Ernest Ansermet conducts L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in a performance of Stravinsky's Ballet Suite "Petrushka"
Condition is very good. The sleeve (which is the original "blue back" design) is not perfect - there is some minor loss of laminate on the front and the top right corner is badly worn for about 3cm and there are two 1cm areas of wear on the bottom edge. However, the sleeve is otherwise clean and crisp with no actual tears or seam splits
The vinyl is in excellent condition. The surfaces are beautifully clean and glossy with no scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Side 1 has one barely noticeable "smear" mark which does not appear to have any effect on playback. Playback is excellent with scarcely any surface noise (just a very light swishing which may be audible tape hiss ?) and no pops, ticks or clicks. There are no skips or jumps either.
