Description
Great Scenes from Wagner. George London, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Hans Knappertsbusch.
This is the original 1st edition ('original recording by' in top left of label) Wide band grooved SXL 2068 in the original sleeve with the blue border on the rear.
Condition of sleeve (front): All corners are 'rounded', there are laminate creases and wear to opening edge, clean with no major damage
Condition of sleeve (rear): not bad at all, most important thing to mention is the bottom right hand side of the flipback sleeve is missing, other than that just usual signs of ageing (see pic).
Condition of labels: Both labels are clean with NO writing, NO tears, NO stickers just light spindle marks
Condition of vinyl: The most important of all. I have played this through and there are no skips, jumps etc. there is the occasional light click/pop but nothing repetetive, some light surface noise, the worst of which is on the run in groove. All in all a usable/listenable copy to stick in the collection until that ever harder to find mint copy turns up.
Please note this is a very rare LP, but it is in no way mint, so if you are going to bid please bear in mind that it does have its imperfections
