MOZART
DON GIOVANNI
KRIPS ~ VIENNA PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
The Redoutensaal, Vienna with The Vienna State Opera Chorus
and The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with Josef Krips conducting.
It was released in May 1959.
The box and spine are in excellent condition.
All the writing is crisp and clear and all the printing on the spine
is undamaged. There is a slight loss on the bottom spine. Absolutely nothing serious.
The booklet is also in VG+ condition. No writing and only a
little foxing prevents it being excellent.
I have graded each record and side separately as to cover 8 sides with one
is not possible and this way gives greater depth in the grading.
Please note that Side 1 & Side 8 are on the same disc
Side 2 & Side 7 on the same disc and so on.
Side 1 plays as ex.
Side 2 has a scratch at the start that leaves one soft tic.
It is not over the singing.
Side 3 plays as ex.
Side 4 plays as ex.
Side 5 plays as ex.
Side 6 plays as ex.
Side 7 has the odd dust static..
Side 8 plays as ex.
So there you have it. A mega rare box set. There is the one light tic as described
above and the odd dust static. Over 8 sides this is quite remarkable.
The discs may have some sleeve removable marks but again absolutely nothing serious.
These box sets, especially ED1 with"ORIGINAL RECORDING" text on ALL
the four discs rarely come up so don't miss out.
I play all my records in their entirety. I DO NOT SAMPLE (i.e. guess)
as to how they might sound.
That is my GUARANTEE
