A hugely rare and sought after stereophonic release it its first permutation. One of the greatest and rarest SCX releases. The record is in excellent condition and plays through beautifully.Year: 1961

Sleeve is solid and robust with no splits or rips. This is unusual in that the prototype gatefold sleeve is prone to rips and tears. there is no fading and there are no major defects. There is some discolouation to the top of the sleeve replete with some laminate peeling, this is congruent with exposure to sunlight. There is also some slight crumpling of the bottom left corner.
The inside of the sleeve is absolutely fantastic with no defects and just slight discolouation.
The back of the sleeve is, again, in fantastic condition the only defect being some slight discolouration to the top edge (although there is NO laminate peeling)

Some light paper scuffs that do not affect play. These are only visible under bright light and are superficial.

I have just fully play tested the record (rather than spot checked it). There is a persistent pop during the first 30 seconds of side 1 of the record. The volume of this decreases although it is quite loud during the opening passage. Similarly, there is a loud pop audiable mainly through the left channel about midway through side one. This decreases and the dissapears after approximately 30 seconds, There are a few other ticks and pops during side one although none are loud or uncomfortable. There is no evidence of groove wear and no lessening in sound quality. Side two has no loud and persistent pops, just the occasional crackle and light pop. It goes without saying that there are no sticks or jumps. WITH THE ABOVE INFORMATION TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT I WOULD DOWNGRADE THE RATING OF THE RECORD TO VG++ If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
