Description
SXL 2298 Wbg ED1 – ROSTROPOVITCH / BRITTEN
1962 Decca stereo SXL 2298 wide band label with groove, Edition 1. Mstislav Rostropovitch and Bernard Britten playing Britten ‘Sonata in C for Cello & Piano Op.65’, and Debussy ‘Sonata for Cello & Piano’, plus Rostropovitch playing Schumann’s ‘Funf Stucke im Volkston’.
The disc is in excellent condition but a pressing fault on Track 4, Side 2 (Debussy) produces 16 ticks. The sleeve is intact but is seriously discoloured on the front and has damaged corners.
