Description

DECCA STEREOPHONIC ffss SXL 2020

Up For Bid:  "ESPANA" Ataulfo Argenta conducting The London Symphony Orchestra performing:

Capriccio Espagnol, Op. 34  (Rimsky-Korsakov)

Andaluza-Danza espanola No. 5 in E minor, Op. 37 (Granados)

Espana (Chabrier)

Spanish Dances, Book 1, Op. 12 (Moszkowski)

The lp visually grades NM- on side #1, and a nice VG++ on side #2. Side two has a few very light non scratch marks, that will not sound, and a couple very short, about 1/4 mm long very light scratch marks, that do sound slightly. No load ticks. Of those marks I heard maybe 10 slight ticks. There was a little surface noise on some, not all of the quieter passages, on both sides of the record. My wife could hear the surface noise throughout, at close listening. I thought it to be fairly quiet thoughout. She can hear a pin drop at 100 paces I`ll wager.. On the whole, this record has great sonics and natural presence, and the slight noise and ticks in no way take anything away from the beautiful music of the recording..

There are no visible spindle marks on label.

The outer jacket is very nice and glossy, about VG++ with very light shelf wear, and slight outer record rim, and outer label rim wear. There is a bend mark near the right lower corner. It has the orginal dust jacket that is excellent.

The winning bidder to pay $3.00 s/h via Media Mail, and $5.50 Priority mail with shipping confirmation. Insurance is optional, but highly recommended. If an international bidder wins the auction, then insurance is again highly recommended, and I can not be held responsible for lost or damaged album.

Paypal, check when clears, and money order welcome.

Thanks for looking and good luck in your bidding.

On Mar-07-05 at 23:01:42 PST, seller added the following information:

Please, if anyone has any questions about this album, feel free to email me your questions and concerns. I will be more then happy to answer any and all. I want the person who wins this album to be completly satisfied with his or her purchase.

BTW, the reason  I so strongly recommended insurance is because I sent a mint condition London Blueback to Italy sometime ago (one of my personal favorites from my collection), and the person never recieved it. I never got over that one. And my pocketbook had a hard time with it also, as I paid the winner a full refund. I hear this LP is even more valuable then I imagined, so that is the reason for my stating I will not be held responsible if this album is lost or damaged. So please think about insurance. Thanks again for looking at my auction.
