Opel A1/B1

This first pressing is a final upgrade archive copy of that I have no doubt.  Judging by the visual and audio quality it has likely never been played before.  Featuring 5 unreleased tracks and various alternative versions that were released on 'The Madcap Laughs' or 'Barrett' this will only become more collectable and is in immaculate condition.

The vinyl is 'as new' and has no spindle wear, hairlines or scratches.  My play testing may be the very first time it has ever been played.  In pristine condition it retains a beautiful glossy sheen and is visually stunning for nearly 30 years old.

Play grading  

Both sides play with the same immaculate audio and I suspect it has never been played before.  There is no static, no crackle and no clicks or pops anywhere and there is also complete silence between every track.  Every track has Mint quality audio and simply put plays as new.  A rare find when you consider the acoustic nature of the album and how quietly the majority of it plays.  Absolutely stunning.  Many of the tracks are so different to the original versions and the 'new' tracks are a very interesting and welcome addition to this album.

The Gatefold

In superb condition the gatefold has lost none of its original quality.  The edges and corners have no shelf wear and the wide spine is also unmarked.  If I had to mention anything there are 2/3 tiny near the edges.  The front, back and inside of the gatefold remain perfectly clean and in all honesty this would not look out of place in a record store today.  The opening edge also has no handling wear.

Inner sleeve

The original black die-cut poly-lined inner sleeve is in near perfect condition with no splits or tears and only a minor amount of creasing.

The labels

They have no marking or writing and no spindle wear.  100% like new.  The run out grooves are also spotlessly clean.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
