THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE DEBUT LP BY SYD BARRETT RELEASED ON HARVEST IN THE UK CATALOGUE NUMBER SHVL 765. THIS IS A VERY RARE LP AND THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS COPY IS THE CONDITION WHICH IS BRILLIANY THROUGHOUT.
THE VINYL IS VISUALLY IN SUPERB NEAR MINT CONDITION. I CANNOT SEE ANY NOTICEABLE MARKS ON IT WHATSOVER-A REAL GEM. THE LP HAS THE MATRIX NUMBERS SHVL 765 A2-G AND SHVL 765 B3 WITH 1 AH MOTHER STAMPERS ON SIDE 1 AND 1A MOTHER STAMPERS ON SIDE2.
THE LABELS ARE ALSO IN SUPERB NEAR MINT CONDITION. THERE IS STILL PLASTIC IN THE HOLE INDICATING VERY FEW PLAYS.
I HAVE LISTENED TO THE ENTIRE LP AT HIGH VOLUME AND IT PLAYS THROUGH REALLY WELL. THE LP SITS NICE AND FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE AND PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANK SKIPS OR JUMPS. THE AUDIO IS CLEAR AND VIBRANT WITH GOOD SOUND SEPERATION. THERE IS SOME VERY VERY LIGHT STATIC BACKGROUND NOISE BUT I AM HAPPY TO GRADE THE AUDIO AS A CONSERVATIVE EXCELLENT++. A REAL PLEASURE TO LISTEN TOO.
THE LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE IN ALSO IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION. THERE IS SOME VERY SMALL LAMINATE LIFT ON THE REAR AND A SMALL CREASE ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE GATEFOLD BUT IT STILL LOOKS GREAT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS OPENED UP.
OVERALL A REAL GEM OF AN LP THAT IS BECOMING HARDER TO FIND.

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
