Description

Up for auction is a Japanese pressing of The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett, cat no EMS 80636. I think this is a later pressing (from the mid-70s), and comes in a gatefold cover with a handy lyric insert, though I’m not sure these lyrics to “If It’s In You” are correct…

Condition: vinyl is gorgeous, with only a single spindle trail on either side indicating any use at all. Cover has some very minor wear along edges, but nothing serious. Insert is problem-free. All round M-/EX (vinyl/cover).

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor), following Record Collector’s grading guidelines, with an extra + or – here & there to separate the wheat from the chaff. I never use mint as a grade for used records. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings.
