Description

Up for auction is a rare 3 x vinyl 12" LP Box Set:

JOSEPH SZIGETI, violin / performing BACH 6 Sonatas & Partitas for Violin Alone - Complete
Recorded under the auspices of The Bach Guild
3 LP Box Set
Vanguard BG 627/9

Condition:
Vinyl: LP 1: Side 1: VG+/VG++ Side 2: VG+ (surface marks/scuffs that look like they came from a cleaning brush. )
LP2: VG+ (some surface marks/scuffs that look like they came from a cleaning brush)
LP3: VG++
The above is the visual grade.
Play grade -- I have playgraded this set and the following is what I have noted:
LP1: some static , a couple of clicks. for the most part, plays very clean.
LP2: Side 1 plays pretty good with some static and a light pop towards beginning. Side 2 plays the same but during 'Sarabande' there are some harder clicks/clicking right towards the beginning portion of track. The clicking gets lighter.
LP3: Probably the cleanest playing of the 3 lps. Some standard light hiss/static. Nothing major.
I would say overall, this is a decent playing copy. There are some marks from cleaning that don't really overtly affect playback, but again I have noted anything I felt was worth mentioning as far as audio goes.
The Box itself has some wear and tear and deterioration of top of box top seam.
The bottom of box has a missing piece of binding towards the lower portion (probably about 3 inches worth missing)
