Right then audiophiles. No messing about. I need cash and I need to sell my prize possession.
This is the holy grail of vinyl. Forget about that recent so called MONO release by Sundazed. Just read the review of it on beefheart.com
I have heard many different releases of this LP and in all honesty and with out a doubt this original is the best by far. Probably the worst I heard was the UK PYE mono version. So bad I sold it for. £5 on a car boot sale.
Now this copy I have, I got it about 20 years ago and I haven’t played it too much for the sake of saving it from wear and tear. I just played the CD back in the day , stereo version cd not bad but lacks the punch of this record.
The condition of the inner sleeve is tatty. I have it there but I have placed the record in a modern sleeve. The outer cover also is really quite worn I won’t lie. It’s seen better days. It has old tape around the edges and is coming apart at the bottom seam. It’s discoloured as well. A dirty old yellowing album cover.
It does not have the bumper sticker.
The important part: the vinyl is really nice condition . Just look at the pics. There will be the odd crackle or pop but believe me nothing bad. No scratches. It’s a brilliant record. The greatest record ever made.
I see there are tons of this LP now on eBay. 10 years ago there were just a few but then just like now it is very very hard to find this original mono bdm1001
