Very rare Jazz record by Sahib Shihab. Specs Powell on drums, Nat Pierce and Hank Jones on piano, Ray Copeland and Leon Merian on trumpet, Jimmie Dahl and Jimmy Cleveland on trombone, George Dorsey on flute & alto, Sahib Shihab on alto and baritone, Aaron Sachs on tenor & clavinet, Pritchard Cheeseman on baritone and Clyde Lombardi on bass.
This record has been sold for more than 350 USD in a much worse condition. It is very hard to find and something for the seriuos Jazz collectors.
Liner notes by Dizzy Gillespie. He calls Specs Powell a genius and Sahib Shihab the most talented sax man of his time. Dizzy seemed to love the record. He praises this LP to the skies.
