Description

'Escalator' is the first and only album from Sam Gopel released in 1969. Due to low pressing numbers and the connection to Lemmy of Motorhead, this record has earned true holy grail status. It's a great listen!
The record has been cleaned on my vpi and upon playing on my system, sonically it's an honest VG+ with only very light spots of crackle only notable in the silence between tracks. Even then it's quiet and nowhere does any noise interfere with the music. Visually it's bright with a deep sheen with the odd very light mark if you hold it under a bright light, none of which are felt with the finger or heard. Plays flat with no warp or skips.  The center labels looks good too with a little smudge at 10 o'clock on side 2 as pictured.   The most amount of wear on the sleeve is on the spine side, as pictured, and just lightly worn on opposite side and corners. There are no rips, stains or tears and the gatefold holds together solid as it should.
This copy came from a true deep music collector who had a bunch of rare records and he looked after his records!
I replaced the non-original generic paper inner that was torn up with a brand new poly inner and it will be shipped with a new heavy weight outer sleeve. I prefer to keep the sale and postage of this record in the UK. I will pack it professionally and it will be shipped with tracking and needing a signature.
Any further questions please ask.
