Description

Rare 1966 original U.S. Mono issue of this classic album by Sam Rivers..... A New Conception.....on Blue Note BLP 4249 labels with Printed in U.S.A. Cover and Liberty Records Company Inner Sleeve .....in lovely overall condition....

The vinyl has light hairlines ......  a little background noise on run ins and between tracks ......plays very nicely all the way through with no skips , sticks or jumps  .......... terrific powerful sound from this 1966 U.S. issue.....visual VG+ to VG++ and audio VG++ to EX....sounds great

The Printed in U.S.A. Cover is in VG+ to VG++ condition......just a little wear/scuffing....see pics ....

Blue Note BLP 4249 labels in lovelycondition ......see pics.......hand - etched BLP-4249-A and BLP-4249-B Matrices  ......there are no VAN GELDERs etched in the deadwax nevertheless I'm happy this is a 1966 U.S. original . It meets all the other requirements ( see pics for label and cover close-ups ) and comes from the collection of a well-known reviewer who worked at the New York Times in the 1960s and had preview copies sent to him.

Liberty Records Company Inner Sleeve......bottom seam worn through centrally for appx 95mm and one side seam split at top for appx 35mm....see pics
