Sam Rivers on Blue Note 4206

This is the original Van Gelder-stamped mono pressing of Sam Rivers “Contours” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4206.  The playing surface is flawless, in as-new condition, with a nice luster; perhaps played once.  The coated New York 23 cover is bright and clean throughout; 1 ½” slight wear on the top seam, at the spine; “Audition Copy” stamped at the top of the back slick.

Personnel include Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Joe Chambers.
