Description

Sam Rivers on Blue Note 84184, Signed

This is the second pressing of Sam Rivers “Fuchsia Swing Song” on the blue and white Liberty labels of Blue Note BST 84184.  The Side 1 playing surface has a single inaudible scuff and several light tics towards the end of the first track; Side 2 looks near-new, with a high luster. The original coated New York 23 cover is clean throughout; the top seam shows a ½” split at the opening and a 2 ½” clean break at the center; 1” split on the bottom seam, at the opening; the back slick has a brown-ish discoloration.

The front cover is boldly sign by Rivers.

Personnel include Jaki Byard, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams.
