Description
Sandy Denny THE NORTH STAR GRASSMAN AND THE RAVENS 1971 A&M SP 4317 Gatefold - One Record
This record is in M- condition. The cover is VG. The record is clean and plays well. The cover's dark finish has worn off in small spots, somewhat spoiling the somber mood of the artwork. The inside of the gatefold is unharmed by this. The seams to the cover are without splits. There is a definite record ring on the back cover and the beginning of one on the front.
Said to be one of the finest folk singers of folk rock in England, Denny lived a tumultuous life and died in 1978 at the age of 31. This was her first solo album, made shortly after she left the successful group, The Fairport Convention where she was the lead singer.
This pressing is one of the earliest to be released in the United States.
Other information about this record is in the specifications and short comment about its condition that appear at the beginning of this listing.
