Description

A 1st press from around the time of release and whilst charting - winter 1972. Matrix A2/B2. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with textured interior. Please note this is the very 1st variant of the cover - just take a look at how deep-blue the cover is. The colour palette on later copies is drastically altered in order to be able to make out the album title on the spine. On the very 1st issues you can barely make out the blue text on the blue back ground - bit of a design flaw!! Also included is the CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio is superb, clean and precise the whole way through. All we detected were a few crackles in the opening moments of side 1 - and then precious little else really. A very impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex) A beautiful example which has been cared for down the years. Lovely clean front with just a touch of handling at the foot. The rear is just as goo - no issues at all. Edge wear very light and the text on the spine is 100% intact. The interior is in nice condition too. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits.
