Original 1968 first pressing vinyl on the highly collected DERAM label...in thick gatefold cover...excellent blues psych soul toytown rock album with singer Robert Palmer having a mix of the first album's popsike grooves with a more progressive direction...the self composed songs are evident from the first listen to contain catchy hooks, just as the first album....
Highlight track has to be the psychy progressive 10:09 mins "The Prisoner" an epic of sorts having to do with a figure being imprisoned in the dark ages involving a torture rack (vocals getting really flipped out and demented); the track is much like something Sandy Coast would do on their "Ship Wreck' album...yet another highlight is "Still As Stone" which contains ribbons of the popsike sound found in the first Lp from a year before in '67

CONDITION: The thick gatefold cover is prone to wear, IF found is usually with considerable shelf wear -- this copy upper levels to the norm, small shelf wear mainly on back VG++ to VG+ and should be a very decent keeper. No split seams, no bends, no writing.
The vinyl is in great shape = "EX" (excellent) sounds clean as play graded, very enjoyable.
